Beat the Heat: Best Cannabis Drinks & Edibles for Summer

July 5, 2026

Summer in Niagara hits different. The patios are packed, the Falls are misting, and nobody wants to be huddled around a lighter in 30-degree heat. If there's one season where cannabis drinks and edibles shine, it's this one — and our beverage fridge and edibles shelf are stocked for it.

Whether you're a local planning a backyard hang or a visitor building the perfect Niagara day, here's why smoke-free options deserve a spot in your summer rotation.

Why Drinks & Edibles Win in the Summer

There's something about a cold THC beverage on a hot day that just makes sense. No smoke, no smell, no gear to carry — just crack a can and enjoy. Drinks are also easier to dose in social settings: most infused beverages on our menu land right at 10 mg THC per can, so you can pace yourself the same way you would with any summer drink.

They're also discreet and travel-friendly for a bonfire or a night in — just remember Ontario's public consumption rules (our FAQ covers the basics, and our staff are always happy to walk you through them).

What's Chilling in the Honeypot Fridge

Our beverage cooler rotates all season, but right now the lineup reads like a summer patio menu:

Lemonades & punches — Summer in a can. Ray's Lemonade Strawberry Lemonade and Summit Pink Lemonade are exactly what a July afternoon calls for, and Punchy's Fruit Punch tastes like a throwback to summer camp — with a twist.

Sparkling sodas — Crisp and sessionable. Astrolab's Interstellar Rocket Lime Live Rosin Soda brings real live rosin flavour, while XMG Zero Orange Soda keeps it zero sugar for anyone watching the sweet stuff.

Tropical vibes — Closest thing to a beach vacation in a can: Cannabis Cartel's Sparkling Coconut Water with Pineapple and Green Monké Tropical Citrus, a balanced 10 mg THC / 20 mg CBD sipper for a mellower ride.

Lighter options — Frootyhooty's Poppin Peach Splash Zero is an easy-drinking peach sparkler, and Collective Project's CBG Raspberry & Lime Botanical Water is perfect when you want refreshment with a lighter touch.

Edibles Built for Summer Days

Gummies remain the MVP of warm-weather edibles — they hold up far better in a beach bag than chocolate (trust us, an OLLI brownie is delicious, but it does not love a July afternoon in a hot car).

Our soft chews shelf reads like a fruit stand right now: SOURZ by Spinach Pink Lemonade and Blue Raspberry Watermelon for classic sour-candy energy, HighXotic's TenTen Caribbean Chill live rosin gummy for tropical flavour, and Pearls Peach Mango CBD chews for a THC-free wind-down. Prefer something gentler? Wyld's Real Fruit Strawberry Gummies at 20:1 CBD:THC are a fan favourite from the Hive Jive crowd.

New to edibles? The golden rule is start low and go slow. Edibles can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to kick in, so give your first dose time to work before reaching for another.

Make It a Niagara Day

Visiting the Falls this summer? Plenty of travellers make Honeypot a stop on their itinerary — we're a quick trip from Clifton Hill, Fallsview, and most major hotels at 6832 Drummond Rd, Unit 1. Bring valid government-issued photo ID (19+), and our team will help you find the right drink or edible for your plans, whether that's a chill evening in or a full day of sightseeing.

Stop By & Stock the Cooler

The best summer picks move fast, and our fridge lineup changes week to week. Browse the full live beverage menu, follow us on Instagram @honeypotniagara, or download the Honeypot app to catch new drops the moment they land.

Stay cool out there, Niagara. 🍯

Three products are on special at Honeypot Smoke Shop from Monday, October 5 to Sunday, October 19. One is milled flower , one is capsules , and one is a pack of pre-rolls , so there is something here whether you smoke, vape dry herb, or prefer not to inhale at all. Prices below include tax, and all three are in stock. The special runs two weeks or until we sell out, whichever comes first, and the pre-rolls in particular are a small batch. Nugz Grind - Lemon Linx 7g Milled Flower This week $27.95. Regular $31.95. Lemon Linx is a sativa from Nugz Grind, a Quebec producer, and it comes already milled. Nugz blends two of their own strains, Early Lemon Berry and Cuban Linx, then mills the whole flower and seals it in a can with a scoop. The can holds 7 g at 25% THC and 0% CBD. If you roll your own or pack bowls, this skips the grinder and the mess. The label describes the aroma as zesty citrus with a savoury spice behind it. See more dried flower . Redecan - Gems 5:5 Blend 15 caps This week $14.00. Regular $18.00. Gems are soft gel capsules from Redecan, one of the larger Ontario producers, and the cannabis in them is grown in Niagara. Each capsule contains 5 mg THC and 5 mg CBD, which puts them in the balanced category rather than THC-forward. There are 15 in the bottle. The oil is CO2-extracted, and because every capsule is the same dose, this is the most predictable format we carry for anyone who wants to measure exactly what they are taking. No smoke, no smell, nothing to prepare. See more capsules . Truro - Pinners Pre-Roll 10x0.35g This week $20.95. Regular $24.50. Pinners come from Truro Cannabis in Nova Scotia. You get ten small pre-rolls at 0.35 g each, which is a short session size rather than a full joint. Truro rolls them from milled whole flower, not trim or shake, and the flower is indoor-grown, hang-dried, hand-trimmed and cured for 28 days before it is rolled. This batch tests at 29.2% THC and 0% CBD. Pinners are a rotating indica blend, so the strain mix changes from batch to batch. We have a limited number of packs, so this one is while supplies last. See more pre-rolls . How the specials work The prices above are what you pay at the till, tax included. They apply in store and on our online menu for pickup, and they run until closing on Sunday, October 19. If a product sells out before then, the special ends with it. Everything on special is in the On Sale section of the menu , where you can also check what is in stock before you come in. If you are deciding between the three, or want to compare them with something else on the shelf, ask at the counter. Our staff know the products and can tell you what is similar, what is stronger, and what is new this week. Earlier posts cover what has arrived recently, and our hours and directions are on the contact page. Honeypot Smoke Shop 6832 Drummond Rd, Unit 1, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 4P3 ( 905) 354-1661 Open to adults 19 and over. Please have ID ready.
